Autistic adults who have also experienced trauma are at increased risk for mental health conditions, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (c-PTSD). In this workshop, we delve into why this is the case, the types of life experiences that can traumatise autistic people, and, importantly, how to heal from trauma as an autistic adult.
