Continuing Professional Development
Informed by current research on PDA, our own clinical experience and the lived experience of now adult PDAers, we have designed a course to assist attendees in furthering their knowledge and understanding of PDA and support strategies that are helpful. Our course will present helpful strategies to maintain the new mindset needed when parenting and/or teaching or providing therapy to a PDAer, in addition to practical strategies for home, school and therapy settings. PDAers often have complex profiles that require understanding of co-occurring conditions, such as autism, trauma syndromes, autistic burnout and rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD), to inform support strategies. Â
