About This Course

Purpose

To provide a comprehensive training to professionals in how to support, teach and provide therapy for autistic teenagers who have fluent language.

Description

Participants will learn best practice models for support and therapy with autistic adolescents, including adaptations for teaching and individual and group therapy programs. Specific therapeutic techniques are provided for treating depression and anxiety, eating disorders, and encouraging friendship and a positive self-identity. Classroom accommodations that support autistic students at high school are also provided.

While this Masterclass includes some content from our previous course, Masterclass: Support and Treatment for Autistic Children and Adolescents, we have updated the course and only discuss teenagers to allow more depth on this topic.

The course material is presented using a combination of didactic teaching, taped demonstrations from real-life clinical sessions, case studies, and question time. Each day is a stand-alone workshop, and participants may choose to choose either one or both workshops. Several handouts are included to assist professionals in their practice and supplement the teaching or therapy process.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

You will have access to the course content for 60 days from the date of enrolment, accessed via our Member Dashboard. A once-off 30-day extension is available. Please refer to our FAQs for further information.

What our attendees have said...

I loved the genuineness of both Tony and Michelle to help and support the audience to understand Autism.

Thanks for packing so much important and interesting information into today. I knew it would be terrific but you both exceeded my expectations.

Thank you guiding us through the material and providing your clinical experience and personal stories. This is very powerful to hear and helps to understand the content of the material you are delivering.

Best PD I have been to, both as a psychologist and parent. Speakers were excellent.
