In this session, we explore
What RSD describes, and why many autistic and ADHD people find the term helpful.
Common pathways to RSD, and why recovering from distress can be so difficult.
How trauma can play a part, including bullying, rejection and chronic invalidation.
Early signs and triggers that signal escalating distress, and neurodiversity-affirming ways to support someone experiencing rejection-related pain.
Attwood & Garnett Events was founded by Professor Tony Attwood and Dr Michelle Garnett as part of their vision to expand awareness, understanding and acceptance of autism amongst parents, professionals and the broader community.
They are internationally recognised experts in autism, with a combined knowledge and experience of over 80 years as clinical psychologists, authors, researchers and consultants. Their presentations combine the latest research with warmth, compassion, and practical insight.
Michelle is also autistic with ADHD, late diagnosed — bringing both clinical expertise and lived experience to every session.
